This is a new handmade acoustic
guitar made by myself, Jim Worland. This is a high end guitar
built with the finest materials and craftsmanship. It is basically
in brand new condition. I need to make room and need some $$$
so I'm offering it up for sale.
The sound is well balanced with a solid bass and bright trebles. Fairly loud with good sustain. Action is nice and low. This guitar works well for both flatpicking or fingerstyle. I would recommend it mainly for flatpicking, or if you have a fairly aggresive fingerstyle technique it should work for that too. In my opinion it is not responsive enough for very light fingerstyle.
The bass is solid, not boomy or overpowering. Trebles are bright but not overly bright and shimmery. Overall it is very well balanced from string to string with good note seperation- very clear tone.
The body size is similar
to a Taylor grand auditorium or what is usually refered to as
a small jumbo or concert jumbo. The lower bout is 16" making
it a full size guitar but the rounded lower bout makes it
comfortable to get your arm around. The body depth is about 4.5".
The top is Sitka spruce,
a versitle wood that works well for both flatpicking and fingerstyle
playing. The
back and sides are Indian rosewood giving it good sustain and
volume. Binding is rosewood.
There is a small seperation
in the top seam which I have included in a photo. It is difficult
to see unless
the light is just right. This is not a structural crack but simply
a superficial seperation in the finish. The
underside of the top is reinforced to prevent a crack from ever
forming here. Even so, I am offering the guitar
up for half price partly to account for this.
Regular price for this guitar
is $3250 but I'm offering it to you half that amount: $1625. So
here's your chance to get a fine hand made guitar at a bargain
price!
Price: $1625
